     ​ Gangneung City has decided to postpone the Gyeongpo Cherry Blossom Festival 2024, which had been set to be held on March 29, by one week and hold it for six days from April 5 to April 10. The decision was due to the arrival of a cold snap and the forecast of precipitation over the weekend, which is expected to delay the blooming period.

      ​The lighting time of the nighttime cherry blossom path, which was to open in connection with the Gyo 1-dong festival section, will also be adjusted according to the delayed event schedule.

      ​The main venue for the Gyeongpo Cherry Blossom Festival is Gyeongpo Wetland Square, where a picnic zone will be opened for visitors to enjoy the cherry blossoms more comfortably, and a wide variety of experience programs, a flea market, and recreational activities will be available at the same time.
