What is TAX REFUND?

If a foreigner purchases more than KRW 30,000 worth of items in a single transaction at a Tax Refund shop, the system will refund the VAT and individual consumption tax included in the commodity price after confirming the exportation by the customs at the time of departure.

Refund Procedures

1. Purchase goods at Tax Refund Shops:

After purchasing the goods, receive the refund slip("Certificate of selling goods for oversea visitor").

* However, ② KT Tax Refund App is available only when the issuer of the refund slip is an affiliate of KT, The applicant can check whether the store is an affiliate of KT at each store.
